Townsend is a lesser known but still cornerstone towns of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Its the location of one of only three entrances into the park. A place where every local has taken a tube down the Little River and a place where you are sure to get a ticket if you speed! We grew up in Wears Valley and attended church in Townsend every Sunday morning.
